Sig vs Dan Wesson. OK, I have had a Sig 1911T-45-TME for a few days and I just got a present from my DW of a Dan Wesson PM-9. And I just got a RCBS Trigger Pull Scale. The Dan Wesson gives a very consistent trigger pull of 4 lb 8 oz to 4 lb 6 oz. The Sig gives a very erratic trigger pull of 5 lb 3 oz to 7 lb 4 oz.
The Dan Wesson is a nice production gun, to me similar to a higher end Kimber or a Springfield TRP ( sorry fan boys), the Wilson is a good semi custom that for the price goes though a bit more detail. ... The DWX Compact and the Wilson SFX9 have been my top two candidates for Ultimate EDC. I think the DWXc just acceded to the top of the list. And it doesn't hurt that the price tag on that Wilson was a bit over $2800...! A full $1000 more than what the DWXc is going for.
