The one the mechanic put in my M failed after les than 5 hours and he has had to replace several other he recently installed, one twice.

This was done shortly after the owner noticed it was running poorly and lacking power. Now I have found some mechanical issues, but had a few electrical questions as well. First, coil says external resistor required, but I don't see one. I was coming from a magneto, and just bought the electronic ignition kit already installed on a distributor.
