Jun 21, 2016 · Does anyone know what the operating temperature of a 2015 JK is? The reason is, I think mine is running hot. The analog gauss is dead in the middle but the digital gauge (via the display thru the steering wheel) is hitting 230. now from passed experiences, I seen the analog gauge move from centerline (1/2) to 3rd dot It seems that there are more complaints from owners with 12 plus 3.6 JK's running hot, but in most instances it's normal. The variable speed fan is a better set up than prior year JK's. Beginning in 2012 with the 3.6 Chrysler went to a variable speed fan, basically low-med-high. Noticed yesterday that the jeep was running really hot, hot enough actually to make the idiot chime tell me to look at the gauges. When I started actually paying close attention to it the needle was staying at the third little hash mark on the gauge (so technical right). Nov 14, 2020 · So new thermostat, new air temp sensor, new ECT sensor, new Mopar OAT coolant, and... fan still running like crazy during normal driving, and the dash temp gauge keeps climbing to near the 3/4 position. In fact, I had to have the heater air on to keep the needle at a reasonably mid-range position, and it is blowing super-hot air.

The difference was immediate and pronounced. On the trip home using the menu for digital coolant temp I was running 185 to 205f. My Wrangler never ran that cool.
