However, either I'm doing something wrong or Essie is the worst quality polish I have ever used. It goes on thin and streaky, brushstrokes are visible no matter what I do, and it chips off within 24 hours. I've tried Essie top coat, my normal top coat, and no top coat. I completely agree. I don't understand the hype at all. Nothing is unique. Holo toppers, holo glitters & unicorn skin toppers have all been done to death by so many indie brands (and usually for a cheaper price too) and the creme releases look so thick and awful to apply. The cuticle is the dead skin (usually white) that is at the base. The eponychium is between the skin of your finger and your cuticle (though people usually call it the cuticle). This skin is very much alive and can be damaged in the process of removing the cuticle. As to whether removing your cuticles (and usually some of the eponychium) is a ...

Acetone is by far the best choice when it comes to effectiveness. But there are also many disadvantages to it such as; dry skin and nails, peeling nails, and dry cuticles. I've been using 100% acetone for quite some time and it completely removes nail polish, glitter, and even stubborn red and black nail polishes.

Those bubbles look like they’re coming from under the color, so it’s probably not the top coat that’s bubbling. I’ve actually never had a top coat bubble on me, it’s always the colors under them.
