Hi. I had the Check gas cap light, and I replaced the cap. I got Code PO496 now, and I believe it's the evap canister solenoid valve. Is it really on top of the gas tank? Do I have to lower the tank at all to access it? Or can I get to it an easier way? Did anyone happen to do this already and have a different thread posted with any pictures?Take the engine cover off. Left hand side toward the back of the motor are two solenoids. One has a gray top the other has a black top. Engraved in the motor next to them shoud say IN for one and EXH for the other. The intake one needs to be replaced. Take the conector off the top and the use a 10mm socket to take out the bolt holding it in place.If its certified it should be free.
