The lantern is date stamped for 1992, but I feel like I bought it in 1994 or 1995. While working on the 228E, I changed its mantles as well because they had holes in them. Heat up to 650 degrees F using torch, careful to hit only the tin, not the pyrex. Remove piece from oven. Quickly coat with rosin flux.
