I replaced the pressure nut and refilled the fluid and expected all to well again. However, not the case. My Ford 6600 is used for cutting and baling hay. I was cutting yesterday and took a five minute break and when I got back in the tractor, the PTO did not want to engage. It finally did, but it seemed balky. Once engaged, it worked perfectly. Is this an adjustment problem in the lever or could it be a sign of something more serious?

Therefore I suggest to check hyd pressure on RH side of trans case. IIRC pressure should be in the 165-175 psi range.
