They are not related to each other. I fixed this problem by randomly instaling Gshade to several .exe from boot and game folder. I have the same issue. It only works on the regular launcher. No clue why. GShade only works for me when I use normal Launcher. When I use XIV Launcher Gshade menu does not work.

Just a reminder that the creator of GShade put code into it that turned it into malware to own a 16 yr old online who was forking gshade, and blamed the 16 yr old saying that they are lucky that it was only a restart. a depth filter properly setup + a sharpness filter can really make the screenshots pop. Also anything you can do to make sure your resolution is as high as possible helps. We dont' use GSHade to play the game so getting even 10 fps is fine as long as the screen looks pretty.
