Sep 16, 2010. #1. The igniter I have seems to be OK. Resistance is 49 ohms, 13 fins, gets hot to the touch when installed under the burnpot, but won’t ignite the pellets. Voltage going to it as measured at the main board is 118VAC by my meter. I took the igniter out and ran it off straight 120VAC out of a wall outlet.
Time for a cleaning, so let the hopper run out of pellets, fire died out, firebox cooled, distribution blower stopped due to lack of heat, combustion blower still blowing, then turned stove off. The power light stays on but all other lights turn off and nothing happens. If I start it in stove temp mode get it going and switch to the room temp mode it stays on and seems to works fine. However if the stove shuts off completely because it reaches room temp or because the room probe is disconnected it won't restart even in the auto mode.
Removed and cleaned ESP. Cleaned all venting. Checked fines box-not much in there. Plugged in and with the dial set to "off", it did its quick and normal fan start and stop but then the status light light as well as the Combustion, Feed and Dist lights lit- all blowers went on high and auger started feeding pellets.
