The browning BLR 22 is likely the best lever in 22lr. However, the henry is pretty good, likely just as good as a marlin 39. The action is very smooth. The trigger is nice too. The only annoying thing about it is spare parts. Seems Henry is not giving out spares. Many rifles rarely need repairs, but it's always wise to have parts around.
