There is a $10 difference between getting reserved tickets where we get to pick our seats vs. standard seats where we may not get to sit together. The Mount Washington Cog Railway was a very different type of attraction. It's kind of like riding the "little engine who could". It's a long, slow trip up Mt. Washington on the 2nd steepest railway in the world. The railway itself is interesting and the brakeman serves as a tour guide for the trip.

The cog railway is a fantastic trip up to the summit of Pikes Peak. Beautiful scenery! Hopefully the tracks will be clear so you can do it. Luckily the tracks were clear of snow, and we made it up to the top. Unfortunately, there was 8 feet of snow on the ground, and the crew had to shovel their way into the gift shop.
