Yes. I was on a 9900k and 3080ti,went to 4090,now on 13700k too, it's worth it. It does depend what games you play, but for AAA titles at 1440p yes you will see a big difference. On the 9900k I saw my fps in games like cyberpunk 2077 more than double going from a 3080ti to a 4090.

The 9900k will absolutely bottleneck the 4080. Literally taking away half the fps performance of the gpu at 1440p in my case. I would have to basically build a brand new rig to fully utilize the 4080. So I’ve decided to return it. If you had upgraded to a 9900K (which that motherboard probably can't run at full power) you would have the same problem.
