I have a JD 1780 16\31 planter that has a wiring issue seedstar with a brown box monitor. the planter has an erratic occurance that at different times i will lose control of frame control the monitor will tell me planter control box has failed and sometimes plant control box is missing. the problem arises when planting and occosianally even when trying to fold or unfold the planter. Easy to pull, easy to store, easy to maintain. The 1770 will be a very good planter as well. More power to pull, will require a significant amount more hyd capacity, more complicated to maintain BUT its twice as wide. You will be fine either way.
