She is difficult to read sometimes. Outside of housewives her interactions have been very different. She was brought up in a Beverly Hills bubble, had a stint as a child actress and was pimped out by her narcissistic goldigger mom to wealthy men as soon as she could be, before marrying a Hilton. Also Kathy married Rick Hilton in 1979 when Kim was 14 and Kyle was 10 so she didn't really spend that much time with them in their youth.
