Any help narrowing down the production date on this 80DL would be greatly appreciated. For the "New Model" Marlin 1895 the first year of manufacture, 1972, included a B0 prefix. That is "bee" "zero". Otherwise up to 2000 subtract the first two digits from 2000 to get the year of manufacture and after 2000 subtract the first two digits from 2100 to get the year of manufacture. Examples; 20xxxxxx is 1980, 05xxxxxx would be 1995, your 93xxxxx is 2007. However, prior to 1968, there were letter codes for the year, except for non-39A rimfires. The new Remington Marlins start with MM.

The model 39 (Not 39A/39M) was made from 1922-1938. With a 4 digit ser # your going to be on the low end of those dates Since you rifle does not have the HS prefix on the serial number it means it will not take the high speed.22 long rifle cartridges.
