It look like you can take the 2 screws out the hold the pump in and remove the pump. Now take the gear #22 off and reinstall the pump. Unfortunately Merc does not make a cover for the hole when you remove the pump so it must be put back in to seal that hole. Mix your fuel 50:1.Would probably make the kit include also terminal covers for the wires going to pump to avoid corrosion. I ended up taping them off when pump was removed. MAKE SURE you put the 50:1 Ratio premix mercury premium plus oil in the gas. I say Premium plus because that is what I use. You can use any TWC oil I guess. If you do go premix You will want to get a mecury oil injection block off KIT!! because there is a plastic gear that turns the pump.
