To answer the question. No the game is not dead. You have problems finding games mainly due to your region you live in. Unlike previous cod games, matchmaking here prevents you from joining servers where your ping is to high thus you are locked out from most world servers and can mainly play in only your regions servers.

It’s a dumb glitch that I still haven’t fixed. People keep saying to make sure your game is downloaded on your internal hardrive but I did that and it didn’t help me. I even uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times and never fixed it.So as of today, Black Ops 3 on PC was shutdown and it doesn't end there. I don't know if BO3 on console is as bad but currently on PC Black Ops 3 is in an unplayable state. As Steam updates continue to rollout, the playability of BO3 decreases more and more by the month it seems.
