The Second way to get the Enclave Plasma Rifle is to do the Enclave Dropped Connection events. Unless you are really lucky, it drops one about every 5 to 10 events. The trick is to get one with Reflex (for VATS builds) or Standard (If you don't care about VATS) sights. If you are really lucky, you will get one with the Flamer mod already on it.

EPFs are ammo hungry beasts. If you find it easier to farm regular plasma ammo go for the capacitor mods (improved crit shot tuner for vats users, improved hip fire if you’re more free aim). If you’re not struggling to farm ultracite plasma cartridges go prime capacitor. The damage is significantly increased as for most plasma based weapons.The auto barrel might be considered commando though. Btw it’s worth it. A good enclave flamer build is ridiculous. Cranberry Bog events have a chance to drop any random mod including the enclave plasma ones. This includes Cop a Squatter and I believe Census Violence and Distant Thunder. Any of the locations where a mod or plan is a world drop in the Cranberry Bog can have an Enclave Plasma mod. This includes all the BoS outposts.

The mods are not too common (not really rare either) typically go for 30-50k each on discord (flamer and the beta calibrated or whatever the 50c tuned one is) What you WANT is to make SURE your enclave plasma gun has BOTH Reflex sights (kinda just a bonus cause again canned coffee is for vs bosses) but its an ap reduction
Aligned for vats. True for hip fire. Since yours is ari/hit so i suggest dont turn it into flamer, put a sniper barrel or keep it auto (auto barrel mod box is not available). Or keep rolling until you get Anti-Armor/50c or bloodied/50c and use Aligned Flamer. Use VATS crit and enjoy to see Earle melts :)
