The pinch detect goes through the DFI and if the DFI fails so does the pinch detect circuit leading one to think its the actual contacts being the problem when it isn't totally if the contacts are corroded. You can get a replacement DFI from HERE for $30. I do have the night light turned off because it somehow kept triggering the bonnet removed. I have learned to do a deep clean about every 5-6 months or it'll get a pinch fault from the sensor being dirty which leaves the robot in an unusable rotated state. You can completely bypass (and cure) the pinch sensor issue with as little as a paperclip. All you need to do is unplug the two wire connector plugs from the aluminum pinch arms, and use the paperclip bent small enough to act as a joiner between the two connector plugs. The problem is that aluminum corrodes in the presence of ammonia.
