A basic roll cage is a loop which is two points, and mounts behind the drivers seat. They also get into 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 point cages. The more points, the more your chassis is connected. I doubt there is a difference 2010 and up. However, I also see it is for sale at fastscions.com for 2008-2014 - Hotchkis Sway Bars: Scion xB 2008 - 2014 (xB2) It's $320. I see there is a TRD Rear Sway bar and read that several people have those (I see $223). Though it is red, hehe.

Check the coolant drain hole for leakage, loosen the s-belt and turn the pulley to see if the bearings turn smoothly and freely. If you can get your trouble code scanned, it may identify your problem.

The Hyundai never gave me a problem towing. I'd still get 29mpg towing (60-65mph). I changed the oil regularly and used synthetic and changed tranny fluid every 60,000. The xB should tow fine. The xA and The xB both use the same drivetrain and therefore suffer from the same issue. There is no easy way to tighten the serpentine belt. And that is an issue. #1 suspect if you hear the belt squeal when you turn the AC on is a loose belt. FWIW -- You don't mention whether you've changed anything associated with the engine. If you have, then it's a good idea to disconnect the battery negative, wait a minute or so, and then reconnect to force the ECU to relearn the engine behavior. Any changes (intake, etc) result in a relearn situation.
