I have the Holosun and a Vortex Venom 3moa. That is the only comparison I can make and it is heads and tails above the Vortex. By all the research I did, only the Trijicon RMR may be a bit better than the Holosun but not by much. My SFx trigger is right at 3 pounds but it is nice and crisp break with zero over travel.

That's kind of a two fold answer. I have a 1 on my SFX and a 7a on my edc. I prefer the switches on the 1 for ease of use but the compact 7a so I don't have a light on my wiener all day while carrying. I use the SFX as a home defense pistol only so I don't have to worry about that. I don't think you can pick a bad Streamlight though.
