I have a bunch of fractional share purchases at Fidelity (market orders), and I find that sometimes the price for the fractional share portion is higher than the whole share portion, but sometimes it is lower, no consistency. I’ve been with Schwab for a little over a year now.. and I think I’m going to take the plunge to move to Fidelity solely because of the fractional share/etf buying ability.
