Ozempic helps reduce food intake by lowering appetite and slowing digestion. In clinical trials, people taking Ozempic lost an average of 4-5% of their body weight. Ozempic is often prescribed “off-label” (without FDA approval) for people with type 1 diabetes or even without any type of diabetes to help with weight loss.
People who stop taking Wegovy and Ozempic often gain weight back relatively quickly.
