The Prawn suit is sturdy, and packs enough of a punch to make aggressive creatures flee. If a creature is attacking your Prawn, deck it in the face a couple times and it will retreat. The Grapple Arm is recommended too, as it makes it much easier to maneuver around aggressive creatures, and escape if you need to.

A grapple hook and a drill arm are really all you need. The drill does plenty damage to shake off any creature that tries to get too close and it also enables you to drill large resource nodes.
