The Beatles didn't approve it. Michael Jackson approved it, since he had control over the music. I don't want to hear Beatles music used for selling stuff, either. However, I don't mind if it's used in TV shows or films. "Mad Men" made excellent use of "Tomorrow Never Knows," for example.
