40 dex or 40 strength ?

I loved the estoc in both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but the Dark Souls 2 version seems a bit underwhelming. It has lower scaling and lower base damage than the rapier, and because criticals are much harder to get this time around, the whole "high crit damage" aspect of thrustings swords seems to be a lot less useful.IMO, the Estoc is more of a quality weapon. Are you planning on going full Dex? DEX/FTH or DEX/INT? If so, I suggest sticking with the Rapier until you get to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire, and LITERALLY (as in not killing anything) running from the Snowfield bonfire to the Corvian Settlement to pick up the Crow Quills.
