And, as its own thing, Show manages to stick to its internal mythology, while mixing its more dramatic arcs with spots of comedy and levity, and remains interesting and engaging, all through its 20 episodes. Given how staid Show’s first half felt, I welcomed some of the more surprising writing decisions in Show’s final stretch. 3. Here are some things which I think are useful to keep in mind, in order to maximize your enjoyment of this show. 1. Show is obviously meant to be a live action manhwa, ..so a lot of suspension of disbelief is required, and a manhwa lens is a must. 2. There’s a lot of early emphasis on beauty or the lack of it, ..in our drama world.Han Shuo’s expression, of quiet gladness, is really nice to see, and it’s quite melty how he doesn’t take his eyes off her for a second, while she’s in his arms. Of course, afterwards, when Bai Ji (Liu Shu Yuan) apologizes, it’s cute and amusing that Han Shuo tells him that he’ll be rewarded instead.
