The ONT is like a modem (converts the fiber signal to a RJ45 port output), I'm guessing you got the Fidium supplied Adtran router? You can use your own equipment, just replace their modem with yours. From what I can gather so far, 50 and 250 users end up with the GPON ONT instead (2.1/1.2Gbps split) Most people can't use 2gb in their house. Typical stuff is 1gb ethernet, and it takes some upgrades to take advantage of a 2gb connection. I'm guessing they terminate in their router at 10gb since it's most common.
