Clutch Replacement on 2005 Vulcan 800 Classic. Bought this used bike a few weeks ago. The clutch does not grab until I am like a quarter inch away from letting the lever go. Pull the connector off the regulator. Measure the resistance across the 3 white wires going to the stator. Value should be 0.11 - 0.17 ohm (1-ohm scale). Start the bike and measure the voltage on across the same white wires and it should be 54V or more (250v scale). The 900 does not lack in power and carries us very well we regularly do trips of 250 miles in a day. Things to consider. 900 does not have a good stack seat is must be changed or modified for longer rides to be comfortable.
