(Transmatch/Antenna Tuner) After some searching on the web I came across the K1JJ design, posted to the AM forums. The input coil connects to your radio and the big coil will have to be tapped out to match the aerial to the radio system. But the K1JJ tuner is just as effective as a Dentron and $300 cheaper. The tuner is just a single section variable - floating. It is across a 40 turn copper tubing coil. There is a 5 turn 50 ohm link wound inside or outside the big coil that connects to the rig and goes to ground.
