Particularly if you can score well....and particularly since program directors still say that a good numerical step 1 > P/F > bad numerical step 1. At the end of the day, we're all trying to be competitive for the match and if a scored step 1 helps you out, there's no reason not to go for it. Any change to the system will have winners/losers.
