There are several camp grounds and I am reading that some areas have no access, it is private property. As I said, the area has to be shallow enough to wade but still have room to cast, and an area with some trout.

Dec 10, 2013. #17. You should try to cast accurately into an 18 inch circle at 50 feet, 12 inch circle at 40 feet and a 6 inch circle at 30 feet. In terms of distance with a dry fly try to cast 80 - 85 feet, all casts with a 9 ft 5 wt rod.
Feb 7, 2014. #1. Been looking real hard at one of these. Thinking about getting one for my Sage ONE 8'6" 4 wt. Since it is a light weight and shorter rod. Always wanted to try a click/pawl reel and this rod will be used strictly for trout on smaller streams so I think this might be a perfect combo. It is the lightest reel made that I know of.

There are a few miles of flowing river (White River) just below Beaver Dam, depending upon the level of Table Rock. Not nearly as well-known as the tailwaters of the White and North Fork below Bull Shoals and Norfork dams, but decent fishing. Dec 25, 2018. #6. The 907-4 Radian is quite a soft rod and in my opinion, not a great streamer rod if full sink lines and larger flies are going to be used. It simply has too weak of a tip to be a great streamer stick in my opinion. Nice reel overall, but not really confidence inspiring. I have been doing a lot of reading and think I have my choices narrowed down to the Orvis Mirage LT or the Nautilus Classic XL Max with a standard XL spool. Both of the reels seem identical in features. Also, I am not a fan of the standard X.

If you fish a long stick, like a switch, or Czech nymph rod, go for the longer handle. Makes life so much better. Sounds like they will be coming out with a long handle/skinny next season.
